Consider Giving Back While You’re in Washington
Many Student Governments enjoy adding a community service project to their trip to Washington, D.C. If your delegation arrives early or stays an extra day, you may wish to volunteer with a local nonprofit organization.
This is entirely optional and is not part of the official National Student Government Summit program, but it’s a meaningful way to make an even greater impact during your visit to the nation’s capital. ASGA recommends searching VolunteerMatch for service opportunities available in the Washington, D.C. area before the conference (October 6–8, 2026) or after the conference concludes (October 11–12, 2026).
